Nearly there,…here is the final version of the title page.

The final Book cover design coming soon!

What a long journey this has been from first thought to printed page, but volume one (New Beginnings) of the Becoming Portia series is nearly complete! I am only having to finish those pesky details,…all the back production stuff it takes to produce a print book for publication like finalizing the book cover and detailing the marketing blurbs, which is a completely different writing mind-set, which duh, should be intuitive, but I am not finding it so.

Also there is the ebook to prepare in tandem, so it’s a little crazy here, but I am trying to do everything in my tagline: Seeking Excellence – check, I’ve edited this puppy to pieces, and have learned the exact industry methods needed for publication, Pursuing Peace – check, check, I take perspective breaks – scoping out the long view, and I know when to step away from the keyboard, which can be frustrating as all get out as you totally want the project – completed, but patience has its own rewards while seeking excellence, and Finding Faith, check, check, check, I have really been in prayer about this project, as it’s not like I don’t have a zillion other things to do, especially with my little guy, but I keep finding myself back here at this keyboard for I know there is a shortage of inspirational stories for readers who don’t want to be bombarded with gratuitous everything! Hello, I am a reader too, I just want to read a good story with engaging characters that’s not power-puffed. Hard subjects are fine, but they need to be told,…gently. Reality is hard enough, fiction should be fun.

Excellence, you know,…if found in the details.

So no,…I am not fast tracking Becoming Portia – New Beginnings,…I am determine to produce the best product I possibly can within the scope of my resources – i.e. the publishing racket is totally stacked against indie authors, but that’s another blog post, and most definitely something best left to faith.

Do your best,…let God do the rest.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not men.” – Colossians 3:23

Until I post again,…may God bless and keep you!
